VERSION commissions artworks for exclusive limited edition release. Our curated selection of contemporary art editions offers an opportunity to access works by some of Australia's most collectable and interesting artists.
HOW ARE WORKS PRODUCED?
A limited edition artwork is an original work produced with a predetermined and finite quantity. An edition of 20 means that only 20 of these works will be ever be produced, and once sold out, are no longer available for purchase.
We work closely with THIRDS Fine Art on the production of most of our printed editions. Each limited edition fine art print is digitally produced using giclee inkjet technology. All works are printed on 100% cotton rag paper, are acid free and archival. Artists are intimately involved in the production process, working in collaboration with the VERSION team to ensure prints are true representations of the artist's intention. Our books are printed locally in Australia.
How are works authenticated?
Artworks are hand-signed and numbered by the artist where medium permits. A Certificate of Authenticity, signed by the artist or company director, accompanies all artworks. This may be posted separately to your artwork. Books are hand-numbered and signed or initialed by the artist.
What to expect
While we aim to provide high quality photographs that are true in representation of the artwork, computer monitors do not always portray colours as they are printed. Please understand there may be slight colour variance between the printed artwork and the work as viewed on your computer screen.
How much does shipping cost?
Delivery of works within Australia is free.
Your work will be sent via Australia Post Express. You will receive email notification when your package is dispatched, enabling you to track its progress to your door.
International deliveries are shipped at a flat rate of $50 unless otherwise specified. Shipping will be automatically added to your purchase at checkout. Please note that any import duties or taxes on international shipments will be the responsibility of the buyer.
Orders can also be shipped directly to your preferred framer.
How is work packaged?
We take the utmost care with the packaging and delivery of your artwork. How your work arrives will depend on its size, and the individual requirements of its medium. Large fine art prints will be wrapped in acid free paper and shipped in a custom sized tube to protect from damage in transit, small prints are packed flat. Sculptures are bubble wrapped and boxed for delivery.
When will my artwork arrive?
Australia-wide deliveries should be received within 10 business days, and usually sooner. International delivery times vary depending on country of residence. You will receive email notification when your artwork is dispatched, enabling you to track its progress to your door.
Handling your artwork
Fine art prints should always be handled gently with cotton gloves, which are available from most supermarkets and department stores. It is essential that you avoid touching the print directly as the natural oils of your hands can mark and scuff the delicate surface. Please consider having your purchase shipped directly to your preferred framer, this will ensure that you avoid damaging work through incorrect handling.
Please do not remove your artwork from its tube until you are at your chosen framer. We recommend framing your work as soon as possible, as unframed prints can incur damage if left rolled for long periods of time. VERSION cannot be held responsible for prints left in their tubes for extended periods.
In the rare and unfortunate event that your print arrives damaged, you may be eligible for a return or replacement (subject to availability). Please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your package by emailing email@example.com. All works must be returned in their original packaging, with their accompanying Certificate of Authenticity. The cost of return shipping is the responsibility of the customer.
No return will be accepted without the Certificate of Authenticity.
Prints from VERSION are sold unframed. We recommend framing your work as soon as possible to protect it from damage. All framing enquiries should be directed to your chosen framer, though we are happy to assist you wherever possible.
